The road so far…

Month four

Month three

Dad's little apprentice helping chop some trees down

The apprentice is a little sleepy

Not really amused being carried around all the time

A little disinterested in the task at hand, a lot more interested in his hands

Just hanging out with his pals

Finally enjoying the playmat!
His lashes are getting so long!

To avoid droolage on our walks, Leland rocks his fashionable bandanas

Both boys are super fascinated with mom's breakfast

To maximize multitasking (especially when mom goes back to work) we got a swivel table next to the couch. Such a game changer!

All snugged up and ready for our drive!

That mischievous smile <3

Sleepy mom and wide awake baby

yaaaaawwwwwwn

Playing with his toes

Big bed, little baby

Celebrating dad's birthday!

Month two

Chitchatting with mom is one of his favorite activities

Being a happy boy

Hanging out with Aunty Maka before she leaves

Baby's first hike!

Leland working on his strong neck muscles! He's a cute little turtle.

Trying to eat his blanket/hands

Turns out our chubby baby likes to climb us like we're his personal trees

Bouncing on the ball with Aunty Kerin is always a good time.

Grammy working her core keeping Leland happy

Leland's favorite nap spot

Slowly growing out of his 0-3 footie pajamas already!

Out for our stroll! It looks like Leland prefers the baby carrier over the stroller on these uneven sidewalks.

Wearing daddy's hat is both frustrating and entertaining for all parties involved

One of Leland's numerous personal concerts throughout the day

Maybe mom should cut her hair...

Learning how to be a very hungry caterpillar

Practicing sitting up! He likes looking at everyone and everything

Drunk baby

Angry with his head cover

Dad teaching Leland how to ride a horse

Leland loves sitting on mom's lap

climbing the parent tree

sleepy dad and wide awake/scheming baby

Sleepy boy!

Our morning set up

Not every moment is smiles and giggles!

Practicing his smiles!

Leland quickly discovering his toys

Just a smiling napping baby

showing off the rolls

Gotta improvise when a baby is thrown at you!

Hanging out with Grampa

We moved the mobile downstairs for more entertainment

snacking on his lil fists

Watching Riverdance and showing him cool kids Irish Stepdance

He kept super pooping that day, so mom decided he needed to just hang out in his diaper instead of destroying more of his outfits.

Month one

One month old!

Uncle Conor and Aunt Abby came to visit

Leland's 4th of July outfit lasted only 30 minutes, poor dude isn't a fan of non-stretchy fabric (we don't blame him - comfy clothes for life)

Little man likes to hold onto the burp cloths like a blankie. At least he keeps his napkin nearby!

His favorite spot downstairs

Leland is started to get fascinated by the big mobile in his nursery

baby and papa match often and always

Mom's resting her eyes/stretching her back while Leland gets a nice nap in

What a spoiled baby! He gets a live concert whenever he requests it

It's really cool seeing Leland come alive and notice his surroundings

hanging out in his baby gym

Little chonk has been more awake this week!

Leland's first bath!

The most upset post bath

MomMom, PopPop, and Uncle Rohan came to visit!

Leland was getting way too fussy, so Pat walked the rest of the way home with the little guy.

Indie admiring Leland's sweater

Baby's first outing

Leland met Auntie Kerin!

He'll grow into his sun hat soon (hopefully!)

Milk drunk

Helping dad improve his COD skills

Baby's first stroll!

Adding batteries to the swing without waking Leland up is next level dad skills

Baby boy is chunking up!

Welcome to the world Leland!

Checked into the hospital to be induced at 4:30 pm on Wednesday June 3

All hooked up and ready to get this party started!

The birthing suites were so cozy and quiet.

One of the last times I'll have this big belly!

COVID is a weird time to have a baby

Still feeling chipper, still waiting to be more dilated...

We kept track of contractions using the white board

Elise is going to miss having a built in tray to rest things on.

After riding through contractions all night, we felt pretty rough the next morning - but still smiling!

Hooked up and passed out

FaceTime and bouncing on the birthing ball helped pass the time a bit.

White knuckling it through contractions.

After pushing for 4 hours, we decided it was the best choice to have a c-section. Everyone was amazing and took care of both mom and baby.

Leland was born June 5 at 6:10 am! Elise kept making jokes about being in an Alien moving and hoping she would get a baby instead of space creature. He kind of looks like an alien here, but it's a baby boy!

Getting to hold Leland for the first time

First family photo

Leland decided it was an appropriate time to pee and poop a few times on the nurses, we still need to house train him...

Chunky boy!

Got to head home Sunday June 7 and met his grandparents and other family members

Indie decided it's okay if we keep Leland around.

Leland with Grammy

Leland with Mom mom

Harper meeting her little cousin

Auntie Erin got some snuggles too!

Pop pop with Leland

Leland passed out on Grandpa (grandparent moniker still pending)

Late night snuggles with mom

Heading to the first pediatrician visit.

A walk a day keep the crazies away!
